Hamanaka Town Lupin festival returns this October! (Updated)!
The yearly Lupin III festival is returning to Monkey Punch’s place of birth this October, with guest-speakers, museum exhibitions, Part 6 goodies, and more!
Visitors to the scenic coastal town of Hamanaka, Japan, can take part in an AR stamp rally, pick-up exclusive merchandise in the shop, check out a “visual museum” of Lupin III: Part 6 goodies, and attend talks by “special guests”, who are to be revealed closer to the event. The talks will only take place on the weekend of the 29th and 30th of October, while other festivities are due to start earlier in the month.
While the Monkey Punch museum still welcomed visitors (in limited numbers), the festival itself has been on hiatus for the past couple of years, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It is fantastic to see it make a comeback in 2022, and I hope everyone attending has a fun time!
