The first TV series ran from 1971 to 1972 and features Lupin wearing a green jacket, which was chosen thanks to animation director Yasuo Ōtsuka.
Since then, green jacket Lupin has featured in OVA’s and two notable films, The Castle of Cagliostro and The Fuma Conspiracy.
Alongside a few other TV specials and the recently released Part 6, Lupin also wore a green jacket in a darker retelling of the characters’ origin story, The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

If you enjoy Studio Ghibli films, check out The Castle of Cagliostro or the arguably more “on brand” Lupin adventure, The Fuma Conspiracy.
