Lupin III Figurama pre-orders opening October 22nd!
Desk space at the ready… a new Lupin III: Part 4 themed “elite diorama” is on the way, from popular collectibles’ company Figurama!
The company’s latest statue, which was recently announced at the Japan Expo in Paris, involves Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko, all taking part in a high-speed car chase in their iconic Fiat 500. The exciting scene is presented in incredible detail, with parts of the environment surrounding our heroes, and body damage visible to the Fiat itself.
We don’t need two guesses to figure out who might be chasing them…!
Based in Kuwait, Figurama (whose name mashes up the words for both figurine and diorama, if you didn’t clock it already) have been creating high quality collectibles since 2015. Their portfolio already consists of cross-over products with a wide range of famous series, such as Castlevania, Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, Trigun, and more.
While the absence of Goemon is notable, this appears to be a fantastic show-piece, and no doubt would be the focal point of any Lupin super-fans collection. Going by the product photos, the details on the car are stunning, and the colours are vibrant. In my personal opinion, while very close, the faces of the gang are a tiny bit off. Showcasing the trio pulling off such intense expressions, due to the situation they are in, can’t have been easy—so, I’d certainly be willing to let this slide.
With that said, the price of this product is certainly premium. The statue, which is likely to be made in limited quantities only, will retail for $495, and require a deposit of $99 (20%).
One to six month payment plan options will be available via the Figurama website—however, I encourage people to think carefully before putting a high amount of money down on such a luxury item. It looks fantastic, but—please only pick one up if you can afford it! I don’t want to hear of any Lupin fans robbing any banks… leave that to the green, red, pink, and blue-jacketed professionals!
