Lupin III x Black Nikka celebrates Fathers Day in Japan!
The next leg of the ongoing cross-over campaign between Lupin III and popular alcoholic drink, Black Nikka Clear Whiskey celebrates Fathers Day!
Buyers of the famous tipple will be able to enter themselves into a raffle and be in with a chance of winning one of two limited edition Lupin themed whiskey glasses, as pictured below.
Fathers Day is set for the 21st of June in Japan, so we would like to join Nikka in saying cheers to all the Mothers and Fathers out there!

Lupin III: The First releases in French cinemas on December 16th, 2020!
The first feature length 3DCG Lupin film will release in French cinemas on December 16th, 2020!
Distributor Eurozoom will be handling the French version of the film.
While a little later than in other territories, the release should provide a great holiday treat for French fans. This will also mark the first time Lupin has featured on the big screen in France, the home turf of the original Arsène Lupin!

A closer look at the additional goodies from the Lupin III: The First home video release!
The DVD and Blu-ray release of Lupin III: The First will hit Japan this week, on June 3rd, 2020.
Early birds purchasing the home video version of the film can get their hands on some of the goodies shown below, which includes an A4 clear wallet / folder, postcards and additional packaging.
A special Bresson Diary edition will release on the same date for 8,800 yen + tax. You can read more details on that in our monkey news update from last week.
Master Stars Fujiko Mine figurine releases June 18th, 2020!
The second Lupin III: The First figurine from Banpresto is releasing on June 18th!
A stylish looking Fujiko Mine sporting one of her outfits from the recent 3DCG film will pop up in crane games and all good model stores across Japan within the next few weeks.
The Lupin version released back in February, shortly after the films original theatrical run in Japan came to an end.
There are currently no plans to release further figurines in this line, based on the designs from The First, however watch this space, as we wouldn’t rule out the possibility of future additions!
Universal Cool Japan extended until July 5th, 2020!
Universal Studio’s Cool Japan event will receive a short extension into the summer, now ending on July 5th, 2020!
The event, which features content from various Japanese animations such as Case Closed and Attack on Titan, includes Lupin’s runaway play, also known as Lupin III: The Live.
The stage show runs daily at the park, and actors and actresses dressed as Lupin and the gang also roam the park, posing for and interacting with attendees.
The extension is a welcome one, as many have not been able to attend due to park closures as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The original end date for the event was June 28th, 2020.
