Happy home video day, Lupin III: The First!
Today, June the 3rd 2020, marks the release day for Lupin III: The First on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan!
This is the first feature length theatrical 3D animated Lupin film. It originally released in Japanese cinemas December 6th, 2019 and is directed by Takashi Yamazaki.

Our copy, pictured above, has just arrived which has me quite literally bouncing around with excitement!
Lupin Central will be posting up a “first look” of the film this week, on Friday, June 5th, 2020!
Due to having little knowledge of the Japanese language, and the home video release not having English subtitles, we will be watching the film “raw”.
As a result, what you can expect from our “first look” will be simply first impressions of the film from the perspective of a (self proclaimed) super-fan, with a full written review to come at a later date.
