Lupin the IIIRD spin-off films receive German dub!
All three Lupin the IIIRD spin-off films are coming to theatres in Germany and Austria this summer, courtesy of Kazé Entertainment.
Jigen’s Gravestone, Goemon’s Bloodspray and Fujiko’s Lie are being referred to as the Lupin III. Trilogy by Kazé, which is rather funny as we know additional films in the Takeshi Koike spin-off series are expected to be on the way. The 3DCG feature length film Lupin III: The First will follow come October.
It appears each work has a brand new German audio dub, and you can check out a quick trailer of each in the tweet below.
Later in the year, both Jigen’s Gravestone and Goemon’s Blood Spray will also be releasing on DVD and Blu-ray in Germany, with Fujiko’s Lie no doubt following at a later date.

It’s great to see Lupin III making a splash in Germany - a country that has such a rich history of televised and home media anime localisations.
It is also a country well known for producing high quality, respectable dubs - and it’s refreshing to see the Lupin gang get the same treatment.
The Takeshi Koike films feel like a great pick from Kazé. Each is a spectacle in terms of its animation, and their heavy focus on the main five cast members makes them a perfect jumping in point. We can only hope that if they are deemed a success, we see more Lupin content localised on German soil - with perhaps The Woman Called Fujiko Mine being an ideal follow up to the trilogy release.
The new dub may certainly be a sign of things to come, and with Lupin III: The First due to get a theatrical release in October, we suspect we may be hearing more from the German cast very soon.
