Lupin the IIIRD audiobooks now available in Japan!
Three audiobook versions of Jigen’s Gravestone, Goemon’s Bloodspray, and Fujiko’s Lie are now available via Audible in Japan!
Originally announced in June, the spin-off film trilogy, directed by Takeshi Koike, have all been adapted to fit their new audio format - with James Shimoji providing new music, and the current Japanese voice cast taking on the roles of the main five characters (yes, this means Akio Otsuka as Jigen, replacing former voice actor Kiyoshi Kobayashi, who sadly passed away in 2022).
All three can be accessed using an Audible subscription, however, only Japanese language versions are available.
We are yet to hear of any official announcement for new films in the Lupin the IIIRD spin-off trilogy, despite their cliffhanger ending and staff from previous films teasing potential follow-ups over the years. It’s clear, though, that even years after Fujiko’s Lie released, fans are still invested in the darker take on Lupin. Hopefully this audio version can help us get a bit closer to that ever elusive rumoured fourth film!
