Lupin Kabuki play confirmed, starts December 2023!
A new Lupin III themed Kabuki style stage show is heading to select theatres in Japan later this year!
Starting in December, the play will feature all of your favourite characters, on a Kabuki stage for the first time (that is, if you discount those two classic Part 2 episodes, titled The Kooky Kabuki) in English)!
Tickets are yet to go on sale, and we are hoping to find out more details ahead of its showing. The current cast list features some famous Kabuki actors / actresses, and is as follows:
Lupin III: 片岡 愛之助 (Ainosuke Kataoka)
Goemon XIII: 尾上 松也 (Matsuya Onoe)
Jigen Daisuke: 市川 笑三郎 (Saburō Ichikawa)
Fujiko Mine: 市川 笑也 (Emiya Ichikawa)
Inspector Zenigata: 市川 中車 (Chūsha Ichikawa)
