Lupin III x Lupin No Musume cross-over campaign detailed!
A cross-over advertisement campaign between Lupin III: Part 6 and Lupin no Musume: The Movie is currently taking place in Japan!
Lupin no Musume is a popular Japanese drama series that spans two seasons, and has an upcoming film adaptation releasing on October 15th, 2021.
The show stars strong female lead Mikumo Hana (played by Fukada Kyoko), who comes from a long line of thieves known as the “L Clan”. Disgusted with her families past and actions, she decides to start living the peaceful life as a librarian — that is until one day, she finds herself following the path of her father and committing theft to save someone she loves. This stunt leaves her branded as a high-profile thief, and both Hana and her family end up living a life of crime on the run from the law.
Both Lupin no Musume and Lupin III are brought together by their relation to the original Arsène Lupin novels, and as such this cross-over campaign makes a lot of sense.
PV's for both Lupin no Musume and Part 6 uploaded on YouTube now have advertisements for each other at the end of the video, and posts on social media accounts such as Twitter reference the work of one another.
A short competition is also running on Twitter until the 24th of October, where twenty-five people can win an A4 clear file promoting the campaign by following accounts and retweeting posts.
Catch “Episode 1 ~ Enter Sherlock Holmes” of Lupin III: Part 6 this Sunday morning in Japan, at 12:55am on NTV. You can watch Lupin no Musume: The Movie in cinemas from October 15th onwards.
