Lupin III: The First returning to Scottish cinemas!
The 2019 animated feature film Lupin III: The First is returning to Scottish cinemas this autumn, as part of Scotland Loves Anime!
The yearly animated film festival is to take place in both Glasgow and Edinburgh around October time, with exact dates to be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.
In addition to Lupin III: The First, various other highly anticipated films are planned to show, such as Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, Fate/Stay Night, Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko, Knights of Sidonia and more.
Tickets are to go on sale for Glasgow showings from August 25th, and for showings in Edinburgh from September 3rd. Be sure to purchase a ticket in advance of the screening to guarantee yourself a spot in the cinema - it is expected to be busy.
The previous Scotland Loves Anime event in 2020 was cut short due to the increase of COVID-19 infections within the UK, and as a result, higher level restrictions came into effect. This closed cinemas across Glasgow and Edinburgh, meaning showings were cancelled and viewers refunded. Eventually, the film made a comeback for one day only on June 2nd, where it had limited screenings across various Showcase Cinemas around the UK.
For those not keen on rejoining the outside world and venturing to the cinema just yet, a DVD and Blu-ray release of the film is dropping tomorrow in the UK - from All The Anime. Order your copy here!
