Studio Ghibli celebrates Cagliostro!
The official social media accounts for Studio Ghibli have celebrated the re-broadcast of the 1979 film, The Castle of Cagliostro, on NTV in Japan!
The popular animation studio opened the door to its art vaults on Friday, uploading three pieces of concept and promotional artwork from the film, and from episode 155 of Lupin III: Part 2, Farewell, My Beloved Lupin. The latter was directed by Ghibli’s future star, Hayao Miyazaki, as a way of seeing off the character and series he worked so hard on over the years (starting off with Part 1, and ending with this episode).
