Secret of Twilight Gemini streams for FREE in the U.S. this July!
The eighth Lupin III television special, Lupin III: The Secret of Twilight Gemini will be streamed on YouTube for FREE in the United States, starting from July 5th through to August 1st, 2024.
The 1996 television special replaces Lupin III: Alcatraz Connection, which has been available on the platform throughout June. Twilight Gemini will feature the English language audio only, which includes the old FUNimation dubbing crew as the main cast members (Sonny Strait as Lupin).
“On his dying bed, a former associate gives Lupin half of a strange diamond called the Twilight Gemini, the key the Geltic tribe's lost treasure. With the help of the usual gang, Lupin makes his way to the Moroccan desert, where he meets a mysterious girl who happens to have the other half of the gem…”
Our two cents is that while it is not the best, Twilight Gemini is a fun special that, if you haven’t seen it before, is worth a watch. The animation is very mid-90s, and it still holds up. If you’re a fan of the Lupin and Fujiko pairing, it’s also one of the only times in the franchise the two, y’know, actually get it on. So, it has that going for it, too! No boxing gloves this time — Lupin’s a lucky boy!
