Original post (Oct 3rd, 2021):
The 2019 television special Lupin III: Prison of the Past is due to receive an English language dub featuring Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar and friends!
The dub was confirmed by news outlet Vipo with information provided by J-LOD (Japan content localisation and distribution). According to the news post, the special is receiving an English dub to help strengthen the series' reputation within North America.
Prison of the Past is one of the higher rated Lupin television specials, and is directed by Hatsuki Tsuji and is written by Shatner Nishida. Hirotaka Marufuji, who is currently working on Lupin III: Part 6, handled the character designs.
This news was revealed in part by Lex Lang, English voice actor for Goemon Ishikawa XIII, during a livestream event last week. It also comes hot on the heels of the recent announcement of a Part I English dub, which will make it's first appearance in cinemas across the United States later this month.
