Part 6 second act detailed!

The second act of Lupin III: Part 6 is starting on January 8th, 2022, and new details (plus a PV) have all been revealed!

The first act, which is currently broadcasting in Japan and in select territories around the world, has a focus on crime and London. Unlike the first, the second act will see the gang ditching the capital of England to travel all around the world on new adventures.

Many women will appear in front of Lupin III — what do they want with our hero, and what stories will they bring with them?

Shigeru Murakoshi (ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) is due to replace Takahiro Okura as lead of series composition.

The second act is due to finish the show’s twenty-four episode run, as it comes to an end during Spring next year. By our estimates, the final episode should air on March 26th 2022 in the United States (subject to change).

A second ending theme will feature for the duration of act two, with Milk Tea replaced by Bitter Rain. The new track will be composed by series veteran Yuji Ohno, and vocals will be performed by Japanese singer song-writer and actress, Sakura Fujiwara. A brand new OST from Yuji Ohno featuring the new ending song is due to release on January 26th 2022.

As well as including the iconic Lupin III spotlight scene, the new preview video below also includes a first-look at a bunch of new female characters added as part of the second half. The Japanese dialogue here also hints towards the reveal of Lupin III’s mother, which should be… interesting.
