New Part 6 dubs coming to Toonami and HIDIVE!
The latest Lupin III series, Lupin III: Part 6, will be making its television debut in the United States this week!
Viewers will be able to catch the show weekly, as part of Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block starting April 16th 2022, and then at 01:30am on every Saturday that follows. This comes slightly earlier in the night than the previous Lupin series to air on Toonami, Part 5, which dropped at 03:30am… perfect only for those either with insomnia, or a decent video recording device!
Judging by the new promotional trailer embedded below, this Toonami run will indeed contain an English language dub. As per usual, Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar, Lex Lang, Michelle Ruff, and Doug Erholtz are all reprising their roles. YouTube star and professional voice actor Yong Yea will be playing Sherlock Holmes. Any additional cast members are still to be revealed.
For those not in the United States, or without cable, streaming platform HIDIVE will begin uploading the dub on a weekly basis, starting April 18th 2022 at 05:30 UTC. Spanish and Portuguese audio dubs will also be available on the platform on the same date. You can view a list of participating territories via HIDIVE's press release right here.
Are you going to be watching the show a second time, or will the English dubbed version be your first viewing? Let us know in a comment below — and for the time being, enjoy the trailer!
(Please note that while the below YouTube version features some light censoring for Holmes’ pipe, the version airing on HIDIVE and Toonami will be uncut).
