Part 4 to get German release in 2025!
Crunchyroll has announced that Lupin III: Part 4 ~ The Italian Adventure will be getting a localised release in Germany next year.
The twenty-six-episode series will join the Crunchyroll streaming service during 2025, and although currently unconfirmed, there is a chance it will air complete with a German language dub, starring a similar cast to the recently dubbed Part 6.
While it’s a little late, Part 4 will be joining Part 5, Part 6, and The Woman Called Fujiko Mine on digital “shelves” in Germany. For now, the release is for the Crunchyroll streaming platform only - but hopefully it will also end up getting a physical media at some point in the future. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
Part 4 remains as one of my personal favourite modern takes on the Lupin III formula.
The new characters are a blast, with Rebecca immediately fitting in right alongside the veteran crew. The animation is impressive and still holds up today. While the over-arching storyline might be a little hit or miss depending on your times, the individual self-contained story episodes are up there with some of the best in the franchise (with From Japan With Love and Non-Stop Rendezvous being my personal highlights).
If you’re yet to check out Part 4, don’t skip it - Italy is well worth a visit!
