The first four episodes of the original 1971 Lupin III series are now available on HIDIVE!
Each episode includes the brand new English dubbed audio.
The four episodes streaming as of December 23rd 2021 are:

“The Man They Called a Magician”
“Farewell, My Beloved Witch”
“One Chance for a Prison Break”
Four more episodes are to come next Thursday, on December 30th, with this trend continuing weekly into the New Year. All twenty-three episodes will feature on the service in due course.
In celebration of the dubs debut, fans can get an early look at episode nineteen, “Which of the Third-Generation Will Win?!”
The classic Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata tale will hit YouTube in select territories for a limited time only, between December 23rd 2021, until January 2nd 2022. The episode will stream for free, hence the limited time deal!
“Which of the Third-Generation Will Win?!” is one of my personal favourites from Part 1. Since all episodes in the original series include one-shot storylines, it serves as an excellent jumping in point.
Lupin faces off with Ganimard III, a descendant of an original Arsène Lupin character, and Inspector Zenigata is not too pleased about it. Who dares get in his way? Do people not know HE is the only one who can capture Lupin and his motley crew?! Plenty of trickery and hijinks is at play here!

Streaming platform HIDIVE will be delivering an early Christmas present to fans of Lupin III next week, as the 1971 television series Lupin III: Part 1 comes to the service starting December 23rd!
Four episodes of the show are due to upload each week, on every Thursday at 17:30 UTC, courtesy of Sentai Filmworks. All twenty-three episodes are to feature over the weeks ahead, and will be uploaded with 1080p HD visuals.
Brand-new English language dubbed audio will be included on versions uploaded to HIDIVE. Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar, Lex Lang, Michelle Ruff, and Doug Erholtz all star as the core cast in this classic series.
This exciting news comes right off the back of Discotek Media’s recent announcement of a Blu-ray version, which is still planned for release in North America later next year. The home video release is set to include both Japanese and English audio, plus a heap of special features. In the meantime, the HIDIVE streaming version of Part 1 will mark the first time the show has been legally made available in various territories, such as the United Kingdom.
