New Lupin III VS Cat's Eye artwork released!
New artwork for the upcoming cross-over film, Lupin III versus Cat’s Eye, has been included in February’s issue of Newtype Magazine, a monthly publication focussing on everything in the world of anime and manga!
The art, shown below, shows Lupin and Fujiko chilling out in the three sisters café from the popular 1980s anime, Cat’s Eye. The trio of beautiful thieves, who are also pictured in the artwork, are due to face-off with Lupin and company as they attempt to steal a painting from a highly secure museum. The crew from both shows will all cross paths at the same time, as conflicting heists causes quick competition!
Hey—Lupin, where did your socks go?!
Just like Lupin, the Cat’s Eye manga features daring heists, inspiring characters, and even a fight against the Nazi regime. If you like one, it is very likely that you will enjoy the other, and as such, this cross-over event makes a lot of sense! Cat’s Eye is also set within the same universe as Tsukasa Hojo’s City Hunter, another popular manga and animated show from the 1980s. City Hunter features a goofy-come-cool detective protagonist, whose addiction in chasing beautiful women rivals only that of Lupin himself!
