The Castle of Cagliostro to receive commemorative watch!

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hayao Miyazaki’s classic film The Castle of Cagliostro with this stylish watch!

To celebrate the films anniversary, anime goods retailer Premico are manufacturing 1,979 watches for online purchase. The amount in production matches the release year of the film - in which it hit cinemas on the 15th of December 1979.

The stylish watch is modelled off the closing segments of the film, which sees Lupin and Clarisse de Cagliostro face off with the evil Count atop a huge clock tower. The dramatic showdown is not easily forgotten and has been referenced in many different forms of media throughout the past forty years.

The silver watch retails at a hefty price of 44,800 yen (US$406) and will be on sale from February 27th until late May (providing stock lasts that long)!

If you like the watch, but are still yet to watch Cagliostro, be sure to check out our handy guide on why you should. Watcha waiting for?! Click the image below to give it a read!

LEGO releases new Fiat 500 model!

A LEGO version of the classic yellow Fiat 500 is now available to purchase online.

While the model has no official affiliation to TMS and the Lupin series, it sports the classic 1960’s look and yellow colour of the tiny, mighty car.

The Fiat 500 has featured in many different Lupin works, popping up in the Part II and Part IV TV series, and in such films as The Castle of Cagliostro, The Fuma Conspiracy and Lupin III: The First to name only a few. The car itself is Italian designed - which only helps strengthen its ties with Lupin, since the series has a huge fan base in Italy!

The car retails at $89.99 and comes with a few accessories (although no tiny LEGO Lupin, Jigen and Goemon for the moment)! The build was successfully voted through the creator’s program, which allows users to suggest and pitch models that, if voted for, are granted full support and production from LEGO themselves.
