Lupin III VS Detective Conan: The Movie gets English dub!
Lupin III VS Detective Conan: The Movie is heading to Blu-ray in the United States for the first time this December, courtesy of Discotek Media.
Originally released in Japan in December 2013 and on DVD in the United States during October 2015, the latest version on Blu-ray features both the original Japanese language audio along with a brand new English language dub!
The English dub itself features some familiar faces from the original Lupin III: Part II Geneon / Pioneer cast, including Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar, Lex Lang and Michelle Ruff.
On the Detective Conan (or Case Closed for those in Europe) side - the updated cast from recent theatrical dubs by Bang Zoom! Entertainment are set to be included. This features the likes of Griffin Burns, Wendee Lee, Cristina Vee and Xander Mobus.
Both 2.0 and 5.1 surround sound audio will feature on the disc, along with trailers, liner notes, a never-before-released creditless opening and more. Discotek have also mentioned that the revised subtitles will fix various errors found in their original DVD release - hopefully pleasing eagled eyed viewers.
Pre-orders for the Blu-ray are to open up over on Amazon and RightStufAnime.com later this year. In the meantime, fans can check out a quick preview of how the English dub sounds by watching the video below.
