Kazé Entertainment license Part 1 and Part 6 for home video!
European anime distribution company Kazé Entertainment has licenced Lupin III: Part 1 and Lupin III: Part 6, and plans to release both on home video formats in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria!
This will mark the first time Part 6 releases on physical media outside of Japan. The news is no doubt a sign that the latest series, which is still airing on television in the United States on Adult Swim’s Toonami block, is due for a wider global release in the near future.
Details on each are due in the coming months. For Part 1, hopefully we will learn what language options, special features, and video quality version will be included on the discs leading up to release. Will we perhaps see the most recent HD restoration from Discotek Media’s Blu-ray release, or something different?
Only time will tell. One thing is for sure—more Lupin is never a bad thing!
A big thanks to friend of the site Luca for the heads-up!
