Italy to receive new, uncut dub of Part III!
Italian fans are set to receive a brand new, uncut dub of Lupin III: Part III courtesy of Yamato Video!
The announcement comes as part of the original green jacket TV shows 50th anniversary, which has seen new releases of classic Lupin material across all corners of the globe.
The updated Italian dub will mostly star current Lupin III voice cast members, with the exception of Goemon and perhaps Zenigata (the latter is unconfirmed), who will both use their 1987 dubbed audio. It is promised to feature the original Japanese footage with no censorship or cut content. All episodes of the show will be presented in HD visual quality, and further details on how the series will be released are coming later this year.
Part III is receiving a new breath of life as of late, with North American company Discotek Media also bringing the show to Blu-ray later this year. The North American release will mark the shows first ever official release in a primarily English speaking territory, and is set to feature English subtitles.
It’s great to see more love for the stylish 1984 pink jacket show - if you’re yet to check it out, 2021 is looking like the perfect year to give it a go!
