HIDIVE to get "Part 1" Spanish dub!
The 1971 television series Lupin III: Part 1 will be getting a Spanish dub on HIDIVE!
Beginning February 3rd 2022, Spanish language episodes are due to be uploaded to the streaming service on a weekly basis. The news comes off the back of the new English dub, which is now available in full on the streaming service.
It is currently unclear whether or not the Spanish dub will be new, or simply a re-upload of the previous version (which currently features on Pluto.tv).
The content will be locked to a select few territories for licensing reasons. You can check out a list of participating countries below:

Great news for Spanish-speaking Lupin fans!
Both the recent English and upcoming Spanish dubs are a nice way for new fans to get stuck into the original series, while at the same time provide a good reason for veteran fans to re-watch the show.
While the animation may look dated (because, well, it is…), the green jacket series remains an interesting and entertaining watch. The Masaaki Ōsumi directed episodes toward the start provide unique and captivating adaptations of stories from the original manga, and the later episodes include work from big name talent such as Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.
In addition to the dubbed audio, the HIDIVE version of the show features HD quality footage. Even if you have seen the show before, it is worth giving at least one episode of the Sentai Filmworks version a watch, just to compare.
Don’t forget—fans in the United States are also getting a Blu-ray release for the show at some point this year, with both Japanese and English dubbed audio included. There are also a boat-load of special features bundled on the disc—check here for all the details!
If you speak English and / or Spanish and manage to make it to the end of 2022 without watching Part 1, you will have no excuse. Get on it!
