Fujiko's Lie releases on Blu-ray this March!
Anime distribution company Discotek Media have just announced that the third Lupin the IIIRD spin-off film, Fujiko’s Lie, is releasing on Blu-ray in the U.S. on March the 31st, 2020.
The film originally released in Japan during May, 2019. It then first came to the U.S. later that same year, via Amazon’s streaming platform.
The digital release came in two separate variants - the original Japanese language version, and another with an all new English dub.
The latter stars Christina Vee as Fujiko (the same voice actress that played Ami in Epcar Production’s English dub of Lupin III: Part 5) and Keith Silverstein as Lupin III (returning for his third Lupin the IIIRD lead role, previously playing the character in both Jigen’s Gravestone and Goemon’s Blood Spray).
Both dubs are to be included on the upcoming Blu-ray release, and we have no doubt that a DVD version is likely to release in the months that follow.
Brady Hartel is returning once again to lead package design and content - both of which are looking and sounding great. The cover artwork features a reversible sleeve, and artwork from the Japanese home video release of the film. Special features will include the original trailers along with creditless versions of the films opening and ending sequences.
The film is currently up for pre-order over on RightStuf for the low price of $16.22, and you can check it out for yourself by clicking here.
