Behind the scenes look at Lupin III: The First
Here is a nice Tuesday surprise!
A Facebook user has posted up some behind the scenes video footage of the upcoming film, Lupin III: The First. The footage appeared on TV in Japan as part of a 90 minute NHK BS Premium documentary on the character of Fujiko Mine - which aired last Saturday.
The new footage shows an extended scene of Fujiko and Lupin from the initial trailer, along with a couple of other brand-new shots. There is also a very quick look at the character modelling and animation processes.
Lupin III: The First will be the series’ first extended venture into 3D animation, and releases in Japanese theaters on December 6th. Aside from this new footage, only the initial announcement trailer has been shown so far and there are currently no known plans on bringing the film to the West (but we have all of our fingers crossed…)!
Thanks go out to friend of the site and series super-fan Loopawn for bringing this to our attention!
